Prior to a university career leading UK and internationally based cultural heritage research projects, as Assistant Curator Margaret worked for an award winning museum as part of a research team applying visual art, performance and narrative to interpret the history of social reform as response to improve childhood experiences in Scotland, between 1840 and 1940.Currently, she is a member of several art clubs and groups, taking on board volunteer committee roles, including a term of 6 years as exhibition convener for Milngavie Art Club, and is an enthusiastic networker with like minded artists, participating at summer schools, workshops, exhibitions and various social media platforms.
